Engineering Week - Sustainable living forum, comedy night and much more...

Australian Engineering Week in Canberra is 6 -12 August 2012. This year includes a great line up of interesting events, many of them free! This year’s program focusing on sustainable living there is something for everyone amongst the lineup, from the practicing professional and students to members of the general public. Highlights include:

Young Engineers Comedy Night, Tuesday 7 August 6pm FREE –

Engineers Australia take on Canberra, Southern Cross Club – MC’d by Greg Kimball, winner of the 2011 Canberra heat of Triple-J Raw Comedy, this evening will be full of competitions, giveaways and trivia – promises to be a great night of family fun.

Public Sustainable Living Information Evening, Wednesday 8 August, 6pm FREE,

John Curtin School of Media Research, ANU. This public event will feature guest speakers and information stands that will help Canberra householders learn how to make their homes more sustainable. Guest speakers will cover topics from heating/cooling, energy/technology, retrofitting buildings to improve energy efficiency and recycling.
