The Woden Valley is often seen primarily as a business and employment centre.

The upcoming Woden Valley Festival on Saturday November 6 may help to start changing that perception with a diverse range of entertainment and activies planned in the ever improving Eddison Park.

Eddison Park is fast becoming one of Canberra’s ‘premier parks’ with some high profile improvements including a new skate park and the recently expanded pond and fitness park which will be opened by the Cheif Minister at the upcoming Festival.

This year the Festival features a number of ‘villages’ based around the theme of ‘Health, Sustainability and Lifestyle’.

These ‘villages’ include Sustainable Living, Well-Being, Community Info, Amusements, Sport and Fitness, Food, and the Liftoff Youth Village. As well as the health of mind and body, the Festival also values creativity and inspiration as an important part of building a healthy community.

On this note there will be two stages of live music, circus performers, swing dancers, belly dancers, roving performers plus a host of featured events like the Liftoff band comp finals and even round robin soccer competition!

Join in the Fun and celebreations as Eddison Park comes to life this November 6 at the Woden Valley Festival. 10am -5pm. Admission is free.
