Guided tour of Geoscience Australia’s laboratories

By GAEducation - 13 April 2015 0

Ever wanted to find out how rocks, oil, gas and water are analysed? Now’s your chance! Following a brief introductory overview, take a tour through some of Geoscience Australia’s laboratories.

Numbers are limited to 60, with bookings required via Eventbrite. The tour will take 40-50 minutes, departing from the Sir Harold Raggatt Theatre.

Safety considerations: All visitors to the laboratory will need to have covered shoes and there will be a brief safety induction. The tour of the laboratory area will require a moderate walking distance and possibly access via stairs. Please notify Geoscience Australia if you require help with access.

Geoscience Australia laboratories consist of a range of Palaeontology and Sedimentology, Isotope and Organic Geochemistry, Geochemistry and Mineralogy and Geochronology facilities.

This seminar is presented as part of the Geoscience Australia Wednesday Seminar series.

When: Wednesday 22 April
Time: 11am to 12.30pm
Where: Geoscience Australia, Jerrabomberra Avenue, Symonston
