Harrison house fire

ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Ambulance Service are responding to reports of a house fire in Mapleton Avenue, Harrison.

Update to follow.

2:00 AM

ACT Fire & Rescue are working to extinguish the fire which has spread to the roof space.

Three pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus Van, a CAFS unit and two Command Officers are currently on scene.

ACT Ambulance Service are also on scene supporting operations with no injuries reported.

Four occupants of the house safely self evacuated.

There is no damage to neighbouring properties at this time.

Multiple Triple Zero (000) calls were received from 1:39am.

2:26 AM

The fire has been extinguished.

The three bedroom house has been extensively damaged.

The damage is estimated to be over $450,000.

There is no damage to neighbouring properties.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage. Routine fire cause determination will be carried out.
