Kudos Taste Pork and Ginger

Kudos Taste initially looks like a sushi kiosk in the arcade under Canberra House.

But on closer examination they have substantial menu of hot food, almost all the meals coming in under or on $10.

They describe themselves as “homestyle japanese cooking”.

The service appeared when I went in to be authentically Japanese with lots of “Hai!” and a bit of bowing.

After just a couple of minutes I had my meal.

The seasoning on the rice was a nice touch and very authentic. The pork was delicious (as you’d expect with any combination of pork, ginger and soy).

The salad, soaked in the pork juices, was delicious, and the other strange green things were delightfully strange and green.

Highly recommended.

Those two green stuffs at the top left of the photo looks yummo.

Yeah, the ‘furikake’ really zests up what would otherwise be a simple bland rice. Other Japanese establishments should take note.

I think you can purchase a can of ‘furikake’ for $6 in Chinese or Korean groceries. They come in all sorts of flavours (even a WASABI one!)
