Large house destroyed in Monash

The following in from the ESA:

    Time of Emergency Triple Zero (000) call 5:40am.
    6.05am Monday 25 October 2010 – House fire at Monash ACT Fire Brigade on scene of a house fire on Griffin Place, Monash.

    Update to follow.

    6:30am Monday 25 October 2010 – Update on house fire. ACT Fire Brigade crews still fighting the fire.

    Large house completly destroyed.

    No-one home at time of fire.

    No neighbourly properties damaged.

    7:10am Monday 25 October 2010 – Update two on house fire. Fire has been extinguished and crews are mopping up.

    Two ACT Fire Brigade pumpers and the Breathing Apparatus support vehicle in attendance.

    Estimated damage $500,000.

    ACT Fire Brigade to investigate the cause of the fire.

    3:45pm Monday 25 October 2010 – Final update on house fire at Monash. ACT Fire Brigade fire investigators have been unable to determine the cause due to the ferocity of the fire.
