Man dies in single-vehicle crash north-west of Canberra

A 73-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash north-west of Canberra yesterday evening (21 December).

The man died when his dark blue Holden Commodore sedan crashed into a tree at about 6:00 pm on a straight stretch of Wallaroo Road, about 7 km west of the Barton Highway.

Emergency services were called to the site after receiving reports of a crash.

“On arrival, officers found a vehicle crashed into a tree. The 73-year-old male driver suffered fatal injuries,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.

A crime scene was established as officers from the Hume Police District commenced an investigation.

Inquiries continue and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
