Man dies in Sutton Forest head-on ute crash

A report will be prepared for the Coroner after a crash at Sutton Forest yesterday.

About 5.30pm yesterday, a Great Wall utility and a Toyota Hilux utility crashed head-on on the Illawarra Highway, Sutton Forest, approximately two kilometres east of the Hume Highway.

The driver of the Great Wall, a 52-year-old Figtree man, died at the scene.

The driver of the Hilux, a 25-year-old man and passenger, a 17-year-old man – both from Goulburn – were treated by Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Bowral Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Hilux has undergone mandatory blood and urine tests.

The Illawarra Highway was closed for six hours as investigations took place.

The Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the crash and urging anyone with information to come forward.
