A man has been charged with several offences relating to an alleged shooting in Oaks Estate earlier this year, but his car has still not been found.
ACT Policing say a 20-year-old Karabar man drove an orange Nissan Micra near a man and a woman who were walking on George Street in Oaks Estate at about 12:20 am on 1 May 2024.
The Karabar man allegedly exited the vehicle and fired a single shot at the man. Police believe he was known to the 20-year-old.
However, the 20-year-old’s orange Nissan Micra has not been found, and police are asking for anyone with information about the car’s location to come forward.
The Nissan has a number of distinctive stickers on the rear and sides of the vehicle and also has extensive hail damage.

The 20-year-old man was located and subsequently arrested by NSW Police on the evening of 1 May. He was then extradited to the ACT.
The 20-year-old man has since been charged with several offences, including unauthorised possession and use of a firearm, discharging a firearm in a public place, discharging a firearm endangering life, and causing grievous bodily harm.
