The organizers of the event share the same sentiments as you. This event is about equality; equal opportunity, equal pay. Being involved in this campaign, I have been upset with how many men have felt uncomfortable with simply showing a morsel of support for women.

Just because you enjoy sex with multiple women does not mean that you are a bad guy, it just means that you like sex. Women like sex, too. This is about creating a culture that will empower men to stop a sexual assault if they see it, to support a female friend or relative if they get raped, and most importantly to never blame a woman for being raped. These are the same reasons that I helped to organise SlutWalk, which in fact had well over 200 participants. This can be proven by our manifesto.

Thanks for the clarification. It seems the Organisation of Critical Students is, in fact, 29 university VIRGINS of mixed gender, attempting to get laid by burning bra’s in public. Good luck with that one 🙂

Hi Antagonist! I am not a virgin, but if I was I wouldn’t try to pick up women by burning bras. I just don’t see the logic in it. But congratulations on not only making a pathetic joke that stopped being funny after ‘Police Academy 3’, but also for revealing your own sexual insecurities. Article never claimed the organisers were different, in fact it even acknowledged that Men Speak Out is been held in association with SlutWalk.
Article made the point that the themes and approaches of the events themselves are different and gave credit to those who organised it.
