Seems simple to me, it’s the gummint putting together some portfolios that they don’t think are particularly important and can be farmed out to some n00b with no experience and who doesn’t particularly care anyway.

I don’t think anyone would call Tony Burke a n00b – he’s been the environment minister for the last 2.5 years, and the agriculture minister for 3 years before that.

What real-life business has overhead costs that are well over 50 per cent of turnover? ) Not exactly a meeting of like minds for institutional conversations, or even an opportunity for efficiencies. FAIL!

Clarification required here – Arts is not moving back to the Environment Portfolio; it will have the same Minister, but not be in the same Portfolio. No MoGing thank goodness. The last thing you need in an election year.
