The Department of Territory and Municipal Services (TAMS) is warning that they’re shutting down parts of the Tuggeranong Parkway this Sunday 15 February and the following Sunday 22 February between 5.30am and 10.30am.

Specifically affected is the Parkway northbound from the Lady Denman Drive exit to the Glenloch Interchange, and the northbound access ramp from Lady Denman Drive.

So don’t say you weren’t warned.

They could also be putting up better signage.

The South – North signage I’ve see no problem with, it’s coming back that got me muddled the first time.

They’re replaced the ‘Belconnen’ sign on the overhead gantry with one that says.. wait for it.. ‘West Belconnen’

I believe southbound will also be closed over the weekend as well, one of the digital signs is up just south of the glenloch interchange advising of closures (though I haven’t paid 100% attention to it’s message) and there is road reasealing equipment on the off-ramp to lady denman drive.

I nearly asked, but then decided to not be lazy and looked for myself. For the rest of you interested in the reason…

REASON: Overhead Gantry Works

That sounds like govt speak for installing another speed camera…probably the point to point one.

there goes any dim hope that they were going to fix up that disgusting mess that is the southbound lanes between lady denman and cotter roads.

You mean affected, not effected.
