Police are seeking witnesses to the armed robbery of the North Lyneham Mini Mart last Friday afternoon – the second robbery of the store in just over a year.
An employee of the store was threatened with a knife and a firearm during the robbery, which took place around 4.15 pm on Friday, January 5.
According to ACT Policing, a blue 1999 Nissan Pulsar with a number of passengers drove to the Mini Mart on Colville Street, Lyneham.
One man then got out of the back seat and entered the store where he threatened the employee and demanded cash.
Police state that the employee complied with the man’s demands and the man then fled the scene in the blue Pulsar with a sum of cash.
The man is described as being Caucasian, aged in his twenties and of slim build.
The North Lyneham Mini Mart has been having a bad run with youths also robbing cash, alcohol and cigarettes from the store in mid-December 2016.
