Police seeking witnesses to single car accident

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed or who may have dash-cam footage of the moments leading up to a single vehicle accident on Barry Drive late last night (Friday, 26 May 2023).

About 11:20 pm members of the public reported a white Toyota Corolla on its roof on the western side of the northbound lanes of Barry Drive in O’Connor.

ACT Policing, ACT Ambulance and ACT Fire and Rescue attended the scene. They found a 22-year-old male driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, had sustained serious head and abdominal injuries. He was transported to hospital in a critical, but stable condition.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the Toyota Corolla leaving the city along Barry Drive in the moments before the collision or who were travelling along Barry Drive around the time of the incident and have dash-cam footage.
