A Sydney man with an international drivers licence allegedly crashed into a Harrison home while intoxicated, police say.
An ACT Policing spokesperson said they are seeking witnesses to the accident.
“About 8 pm Saturday (27 April), police and emergency services were called to a home in Cape York Street, Harrison,” the spokesperson said.
“A silver Toyota Yaris had left the road and collided with the front of a home causing significant damage.
“Witnesses reported the vehicle travelling at high speed immediately prior to the collision. A 26-year-old Sydney man who held an international drivers license was taken into custody.
“He later returned a positive breath alcohol reading.”
Investigators are seeking witnesses or dash-cam footage of the silver Toyota Yaris in the Harrison area before 8 pm last night.
