1. Police would like some help with a fire in Holt:

    ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a suspicious fire in an apartment block in Holt which occurred yesterday (December 2).

    Around 5.45pm police were called to the Parkview Apartments on Hardwick Crescent following reports of a fire. When police arrived ACT Fire Brigade was already in attendance. A cordon was put in place and on the advice of ACT Fire Brigade an evacuation of the building was conducted. The fire, on the first floor, was then extinguished by ACT Fire Brigade. A piece of furniture was destroyed in the fire but the building did not receive any structural damage.

    No people were injured in the fire however a 29-year-old man was conveyed by ACT Ambulance to the Calvary Hospital for observation.

    An initial assessment by police and fire investigators deemed the fires as suspicious.

    AFP Forensic Services attended the scene.
