Art, Not Apart is throwing down more live art and music this weekend than any one person can safely handle. Melting Pot, Sound and Fury and tech-yes take over the iconic Albert Hall across Friday, Saturday and Sunday night respectively, offering up three vastly different yet equally intriguing performance experiences.

On Saturday, the festival’s main stages are being inundated with local and interstate acts, including the likes of Aphir, Happy Axe and Lucy Sugerman.

Folk singer-songwriter Kim Yang returns to the Old Canberra Inn this Saturday for an afternoon of soothing music. Cathy Diver follows suit on Sunday, making for a powerful and relaxing one-two acoustic weekend punch.

DZ Deathrays are back in Canberra this Friday, playing songs from across their catalogue as well as their latest album Positive Rising Pt. 1. They’ll be joined by locals Slagatha Christie and Sesame Girl.

Finally, Canberran contemporary soul artist Laura Ingram launches her new single Valentine’s Day at Smith’s Alternative on Saturday evening. The song itself captures the feeling of an old-school R&B track, and speaks to the inherent tension of having to authentically express all of your love on a single day.
