Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Asad the cat and Beau the dog are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!
Cat of the week: Asad
Asad is one of the most charismatic cats you’ll ever meet. He spends most of his time in our outdoor enclosure yelling out to any passer-by who’ll listen. He then will sit with you and chat, meowing politely back to what you say.
We don’t know what he’s saying, but he says a lot and not in an annoying way. It’s like when someone offers you a hot chip. You enjoy it and always want another one.
He’s only one year old and has lots of love to share. He’ll be terrific around children and seems to relish a busy cattery, so if your home is bustling with activity, Asad will lap it up and get involved.
Asad is a Domestic Short Hair and, of course, an indoor cat, but if you have an outdoor run/coup or the capacity to add one, you’ll make this happy boy even happier.
When you visit the shelter, look or listen out for the kitty in the outdoor cat enclosure, the one chatting with everyone. That’s Asad.
Dog of the Week: Beau
This is Beau, our wrinkly, handsome Shar Pei boy! He’s about six years old and carries all the traits associated with the Shar Pei breed.
You may have seen this breed of dog as a puppy in late 1990s tissue commercials.
He will be very loyal to his immediate family. He’s a calm and confident boy who will be content to keep to himself and not bark too much. He’ll only need moderate exercise too, perhaps once around the block.
Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
