Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Kobe the dog and Nibbles and Daisy are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!

Dog of the week: Kobe

Kobe is really still just a puppy! He’s only 14 months old and acts like it too. He’s a goofball who loves to run and play, and he’s learned to trust and adore people.

He’s a Bullmastiff/Wolfhound with tonnes of energy. He’ll need to be walked a couple of times a day, and he’s going to want to come inside to see you, so you’ll need to be OK with an indoor/outdoor pet.

However, all that energy and friendliness means it can overwhelm other dogs, so it’s probably best that he’s your only pet.

We’ve seen Kobe grow from an underweight, shy boy into a friendly, energetic dog who’s constantly smiling. He’s not used to being left alone if you’re going to work, but he’s very trainable and a fast learner.

Come and see Kobe at the RSPCA shelter at Weston. We guarantee he’d love to meet you.

Rabbits of the week: Nibbles and Daisy

These two fluffy bunnies are adorable and ready to become your perfect pets! They’re a duo who need to be together to be happy, but that makes them even more adorable, surely?

Nibbles (white) and Daisy (grey) are Mini Lop rabbits who’ve been loved and socialised. They’re used to people and getting a good scratch, even though they don’t necessarily love being picked up all the time.

They’re mostly indoor rabbits but don’t mind a wander outdoors too, so you’ll need a large indoor hutch and ideally a shaded place for them to go outside (Nibbles and his lack of a tan means he’s sensitive to the sun).

These two best buddies are house-trained and would love to live in your house and eat all your leafy greens and hay (carrots are high in sugar and aren’t necessarily ideal for rabbits – what’s up with that, Doc?)

Come and see them, scratch them, boop them, play with them, adopt them!

Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
