Don’t be fooled – Betty’s a dynamo! Photo: RSPCA ACT.

Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Betty and Robert are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!

Dog of the Week: Betty

Little Betty is a little dynamo. She’s just over one year old, very energetic, sweet and friendly, and a perfect new companion for you. She’s young enough to learn all the behavioural tricks to be your best friend forever.

This girl would likely do well with an older dog to mentor her as well. She’s very curious and would love to explore the nooks and crannies of your backyard and the local dog park.

Betty needs an energetic owner (or family) to go for a run, chase a stick or a ball around the park or at the beach like a lunatic, and then settle down by your side as the sun sets.

She’s a good girl who’s desperate to see what family life and the world has to offer. Maybe she’s your perfect sidekick? Come and visit!

Cat of the Week: Robert

Robert is coming in here with a kind of James Bond vibe. He’s intelligent, handsome, and sophisticated. He loves how he looks and would look great lying in a relaxed pose on the expensive couch in your office.

He’s seven years old, a healthy, mature middle-aged man with all the smarts. He arrived to us as a stray; he’s healthy and has clearly been loved. But he gives nothing away.

Robert loves his thick, tuxedo-looking coat being brushed; it’s a great way to bond with him. Bond with him, get it? Forget it.

This guy is enjoying life at our shelter, and he is pretty easy going but he will take a little time to settle into his new home at first. If you have a home with a calm environment, Robert is the cat for you.

Pawnote: With the weather warming up, there’s a chance we could see litters of kittens arriving rather soon at our shelter. To help, please make sure your cat is desexed. Thanks, Canberra.

Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
