Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Max, Marley and Cheezel are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!

Dogs of the Week: Maximus and Marley

We need your help with this one, Canberra! Here’s Max and Marley, two gorgeous, friendly and well-behaved German Shepherds. They are sensational pets … it’s just that they’re really big! They are a bonded pair, so this needs to be a two-for-one deal – they must be adopted together.

They’re desperately looking for a home with space. Two adult German Shepherds like these two will take up room, but if you have a decent backyard, the rest should be easy and lots of fun.

They’re truly lovely dogs, having lived with people all their lives. Maximus is particularly fond of human company. He’s a big, loveable goofball who just wants to be with you.

His best friend, Marley, is also friendly and a lot less sooky than Max. She’s the talker of the two and looks out for Max. It’s adorable to see their love for each other and we hope they can be adopted and bring their warmth and happiness to your home.

Puppy of the Week: Cheezel

Little Cheezel is one of our ‘Potato Chip’ themed pups and she’s way too cute to be here in a shelter when she should be in a home, learning the ways of the world and terrorising her new toys!

Truthfully, we could have chosen any number of puppies for this article because we’re experiencing a constant flow of puppy litters. If you drop by the RSPCA ACT shelter to adopt Cheezel and she’s already found a new home, don’t worry, there will be others.

Cheezel here is an American Staffy cross and is particularly cute, with a white patch on her chest. Like all of our puppies, she’s been socialised and is used to people and already values humans as friends – and food sources!

At 12 weeks old, Cheezel is the perfect age to start a lifelong relationship with you and your family. She’s the perfect age to learn all the rules and tricks and become a friendly and loyal member of your family.

Pawnote: Great news, not only did last week’s Cat of the Week, Clementine, get adopted, so too has Alaska, the Siberian Husky who featured in this article a couple of weeks ago. Thank you, Canberra, for loving animals!

Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
