Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Ted the cattle dog and Kili the Angora rabbit are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!

Dog of the Week: Ted

Ted is a handsome Australian Cattle Dog with a massive smile and an energy level to match even the most committed distance runner!

True to his breed he’s friendly and happy around other dogs (usually he’ll greet them with a woof or two). He’s also shown an excellent ability to learn, so if his new owner wants to take it further, Ted will be eager.

He loves his toys, too; he’ll play fetch and drop a toy in front of you to let you know it’s time to play. Ted’s ideal owner is an active person who can teach him extra things like swimming and obeying simple commands.

You’ll need a secure yard, of course, and Ted will be fine with teenagers and other dogs. He’s a gentleman just waiting to give your household an energy boost. Come and visit Ted today!

Kili

Rabbit of the Week: Kili

Kili, the Angora rabbit, is currently feeling his most fabulous after getting a fashion makeover. He and his brother came to our shelter with bad matting, a painful hairstyle that was so 2002. Eww.

After a serious grooming session, our ravishing Remington of the runway is ready to strut with his new family. He likes to run around indoors, and he’s used to sharing his dressing room with another rabbit, although it’s hard to believe they’d be prettier than him.

His long coat will need attention – lots of regular brushing to avoid matting and keep Kili’s dashing good looks in order. We can’t have him become the laughingstock of the rabbit fashion world (good heavens, can you imagine? Ugh).

You’ll need a secure indoor area for Kili and time to pamper his delightfully soft coat and enlarged ego. He’ll be great company and a wonderful pet. Come visit Kili today!

Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
