Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Jed and Snickers are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!
Dog of the Week: Jed
This legend from down under has the stereotypical Aussie traits of a handsome, friendly, outgoing bloke who values mateship and a good time over everything else. Meet Jed, the friendly cattle dog. Bloody oath, mate!
Our strikingly handsome Aussie larrikin is always up for a solid toy sesh of an arvo; he’ll get fully stuck into some tug-o-war, he’ll go off in a game of fetch and go full pelt into a squeaky toy.
We’re fair dinkum about his affectionate side, too, not to mention taking a stroll with this bloke is a breeze. He’s obedient on a leash and doesn’t mind stuffing around with older kids. He’s bloody sweet, mate.
Come and visit old mate Jed when you get five. He’ll be waiting for you and would love to share a yarn … or a bit of old rope. My oath he would.
Cat of the Week: Snickers
Here’s a character for you to consider adopting!
Snickers is the cat you’ll most likely see prowling around our outdoor run at our shelter, rubbing his head on branches and loving life.
He’s a pretty easygoing domestic short hair with a bit of Bengal in him; most memorable at first are those facial features. With a strong jaw and dazzling coat, he really does look like a panther.
We think the photograph of him makes it look like he’s on a 1990s Hip Hop CD cover, but he ain’t got time for that! He’s a friendly guy with a lovely voice, more of an RnB lounge singer than a rapper.
He loves attention, but he’s also very smart, so having enrichment games and food exercises is important for Snickers. Come and visit him; he’ll say hello before you do.
Pawnote: Thanks again, Canberra! Last week’s Cat of the Week, Cheese, has a new home. Keep an eye out for some interesting cats on our website this week and be sure to check out our 2024 Olympet Games features on Facebook. Thanks for loving animals!
