Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Boston, Pilot and Minke are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Rabbits of the Week – Pilot and Minke

Pilot and Minke are a bonded pair of shy little ladies who are waiting ever so patiently at the shelter to find a loving home to call their own. Prior to arriving here, these girls haven’t had too much socialisation or handling. Their new humans will need to be gentle and caring with them to make sure they gain some confidence and trust.

On meeting new people, Pilot can be a little skittish, but when calm and peaceful will happily sit in your lap and enjoy some gentle pats. Minke is the more timid of the duo and does not like to be picked up. She will sometimes enjoy soft head pats, but only on her own terms.

Pilot and Minke have spent their lives together and we’re looking to keep them together as part of their adoption. Rabbits are very social animals and these two girls get a lot of comfort and confidence from each other.

This pair will be happiest with rabbit-experienced humans and, unfortunately, are not suitable to live with children. Please note that pictures of your rabbit enclosure will need to be seen by staff prior to adoption. These girls will need plenty of space for regular bunny activities such as sleeping, hopping and jumping.

Boston

Boston the dog is a beautiful boy looking for a family to love.

Dog of the Week – Boston

Meet the happy go lucky Boston! The kind of guy who thinks you simply cannot beat a happy Staffy smile. And smiling is definitely something Boston does very well. Boston is a great example of his breed. This boy has lovely manners and would fit in beautifully in an active family home.

Boston could do with some basic training so he is looking for a family willing to give him the time and energy involved in helping him become the best pooch on the block.

This handsome guy can sometimes be a little standoffish with unknown dogs; however, we think a friendly female could win him over with prior meet and greets needed before adoption.

Boston is an active and energetic dog and would best suit a home with children over the age of eight. Please remember that interactions between children and dogs should be monitored at all times.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
