Meet our lovable ‘Pets of the Week’ looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
This week, say a big hello to our resident rabbit Dennis and kennels star Angelena (with an e).
Rabbit of the Week – Dennis
Meet Dennis. He may secretly be named after a certain 90’s movie character because he certainly can be a bit of a menace at times…
But this little guy is really a funny rabbit that’s found his way to our Shelter. He’s got a lot of sass and doesn’t sell himself well. So with our help, we’re hoping he will find a new home.
Dennis came to us as a stray and sadly no one came to collect him. He loves to enjoy yummy treats, explore new places, cause a bit of mischief and guard his food with his life. Sometimes Dennis will get a little extra protective of his scrumptious meals and will get cheeky with his teeth (though he’s certainly trying to learn some better table manners).
Dennis needs a home with a rabbit-experienced family where he can be the sole bunny and not have to share his belongings with any other rabbits or children. Dennis is also an avid fan of outdoor landscaping, so a rabbit-proof digging area will be a must.
If you’ve got some room for a little extra sass in your life, make sure you visit our Shelter to give sweet Dennis a chance.
Dog of the Week – Angelena
We’re looking for the Brad to our very special Angelena (with an e)! This sweet little lady came to our Shelter earlier this year and blessed us with a large litter of nine gorgeous puppies! Since then, her pups have done some growing and have found their forever homes leaving Angelena here at the Shelter waiting for her second chance at happiness.
Short and sweet, Angelena is a super snuggly pooch who absolutely adores being around people. She’s one sweet-hearted cuddle monster who loves to spend her time socialising with our volunteers and staff.
Angelena is still a young girl and is patiently learning some good doggy manners and will benefit from continued training after she leaves the Shelter. You’ll often find Angelena snoozing in the sun in her kennel after time spent running out in the yards.
Unlike other dogs, Angelena isn’t overly fussed or interested in toys though this could change as she gets older and learns more about the world.
Selfishly Angelena would seriously prefer to be the only dog in your life and needs a home where she can have absolutely all the attention she would ever want or need.
We recommend Angelena for a family with children 10 years and older. Please remember that all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.
Visit us at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston ACT 2611 and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
