Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Humboldt, Macaroni and Jack are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Cats of the week – Humboldt and Macaroni

Meet the two sweetest kittens, Humboldt and Macaroni. These two cute kittens are a bonded pair, and both have penguin-like features in common. Humboldt and Macaroni are both black and white, and due to malformed hindlegs, they walk a little on the wobbly side.

But Humboldt and Macaroni don’t let this disability stop them from enjoying life and ensure they make the most of their childlike enthusiasm for life every single day.

Humboldt loves mealtimes and a nice cozy lounge after some playtime and particularly enjoys chasing toys or climbing cat trees before snuggling up on your lap for a well-deserved snooze. Macaroni, much the same, spends most of her time exploring and adventuring and loves a snuggle post-play time.

Due to their shared condition, this perfect pair would need an owner to monitor their comfort levels as they age and provide a stable forever home. Both are currently receiving a daily joint supplement, but other than that only require a high dosage of love every day!

Jack

Jack has a heart of gold and beautiful kind eyes.

Dog of the week – Jack

Jack is a wonderful and playful young dog who will greet you with an incredibly happy demeanour whenever he sees you. As a typical lovey-dovey Labrador, Jack is eager to show his affection and excitement upon meeting you, with no regard for his size.

Jack is a jack of all trades – playtime, mealtime, naptime – you name it, he’s on it. Besides being a big goofball, nothing can sway Jack’s attention faster than a delicious meal or treat. Jack is a little on the slim side and would be more than happy to be spoiled with treats and yummy foods until he is at a healthier weight.

As well as being a foodie, Jack loves to play; once he does, he’s set on it. Jack would love a home with enough space to exude lots of energy and have plenty of toys to keep him happy and entertained. As he is a large breed dog – Jack would need an active and experienced owner who can handle not only his size but also his larger-than-life personality.

With the perfect combination of the right food, toys and training, Jack would make the most beautiful companion dog – and will certainly keep you on your toes!

Jack’s previous family sadly don’t have the capacity for this big ball of love anymore, so if you think he’d be the right companion for you, come down to the shelter to meet him today.

Visit RSPCA ACT at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
