Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Jack and Mia are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below!

Dog of the week: Jack

Jack is an energetic and friendly boy about 20 months old. He gets very excited around people and can’t wait to show you affection.

He’s a big breed of dog (Labrador mix) but doesn’t realise it! He often spends his time in the shelter’s office, giving hugs and keeping the staff on their toes. He’s terrific company.

Because of his size, Jack needs a forever home with plenty of space to run, jump and play and plenty of toys to keep him entertained.

With some good training and a healthy dose of love and affection, Jack would make the perfect companion for a loving family. Why not visit Jack at the shelter and see for yourself?

Cat of the Week: Mia

Mia is a kind-hearted Domestic Short Hair just over five years old who’s used to living indoors in a loving environment. She was originally a stray brought to the shelter in 2020 and sadly she’s returned after her owners became unwell.

Because she’s already a family cat, she doesn’t like being in the shelter. She is extremely affectionate and loving but also shy; we love her, but the shelter isn’t the place for Mia.

Mia has lived with a female owner and has met older children. She could also live in a home with other cats or by herself.

She desperately needs to be adopted again from the shelter where she’ll soon become a beautiful addition to your home. Is there room at your place for this lovely lady?

Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
