Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Rhett, Scarlet and Larry are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dogs of the Week – Rhett and Scarlet

Rhett and Scarlet are a special pair of Staffordshire Bull Terrier X Boxers who are looking for a loving home together.

Rhett and Scarlet arrived at the shelter in very poor condition from unfortunate circumstances. Due to their lack of socialisation when they were younger, they get nervous in new situations and take great comfort and confidence in each other’s company, which is why we want to home them together.

Although Rhett is the more outgoing of the pair, it is wonderful to see Scarlet’s friendly and energetic personality come out when she has Rhett by her side. They really bring out the best in each other.

Rhett has met other dogs at the shelter and is friendly with them; however, if Scarlet is with him, you can guarantee that the other dogs will be ignored.

If you are looking for a lovely pair of dogs who you want to give your love to, look no further than Rhett and Scarlet.

The charming Larry wants a home

Cat of the Week – Larry

Meet Larry. He was adopted from RSPCA ACT as a kitten. Larry was recently surrendered back to the shelter through no fault of his own. Now he’s ready to find his next match.

Larry is a lovely and happy older man. He likes nothing more than having his own space (and yours too, for that matter) and a lovely warm home where he will be showered with the love and care he deserves.

Larry is truly the perfect pet. He is independent, though he is quite social and affectionate too; you might even say he’s a perfectly well-rounded cat. Larry would be perfect for someone who works during the day, this would allow him to have his desired alone time while you’re out. When you come home from your busy day, he will be ready to shower you with attention and love.

Larry has previously lived with other animals; however, he was not a fan of them. We would recommend he live as a solo cat in a household. After all, he has you and that’s all this older gentleman really wants and needs.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
