Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Clayton and Peaches are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Dog of the Week – Clayton
Clayton first came to the shelter as a stray pup at only three months of age and was soon adopted into a family who loved him very much but didn’t know how to handle his puppy ‘happy hour’. Clayton has since been returned to the shelter and is still looking for his new forever home.
As a very active and energetic boy, Clayton would keep you both on your toes and on the go. Clayton has shown great self-control when given clear and consistent guidelines and is learning to manage his behaviour during his surges of energy and general enthusiasm. For this reason, he would need an experienced and active owner who will consistently provide him with daily physical activity and mental stimulation.
Clayton loves to be around his family and is very responsive to positive reward-based training, and with a patient owner will thrive as the happy and lively boy he is.
Cat of the Week – Peaches
Peaches is a big boy with little courage and was recently surrendered to the shelter through no fault of his own. Peaches has had a hard time settling in and understandably doesn’t enjoy the hustle and bustle of shelter life. He is a very sweet and timid cat and would much rather live comfortably in the safe presence of his new family.
Peaches is a very observant cat and happily spends his time watching the world go by. If not quietly entertained by the big, busy world, he loves to snuggle up with you to enjoy some cuddles. Although he seems quite shy, he absolutely loves his pats and will always thank you with a small purr.
The perfect home for Peaches would include a serene environment with plenty of snuggly spaces around for him to relax in. Most importantly, though, a kind family who will give this beautiful boy the love and patience he deserves.
Paw Note: Last week’s Pets of the week, Jonathan & Nova, were both adopted by their new forever families!
