Canberra is set to get hooked on snags as local butcher David Peddle launches his book Sausages: History, Mystery, Mastery.
The book will be launched on Saturday August 15 from 11am-2pm at Cooking Coordinates at the Belconnen Fresh Food Markets. You can see David cook his legendary kangaroo and beer sausages – and then try them!
The book’s simple, easy to follow instructions are perfect for beginners looking to try their hand at sausage making, with over thirty recipes to choose from. While all of the classic sausage recipes are in the book, more unusual highlights include:Beef with Cheese & Vegemite® Sausage, Kangaroo & Beer Sausage, and Pork with Wild Mushrooms and Truffle Oil.
Sausages: History, Mystery, Mastery is being launched in time for Fathers’ Day this year, but David is adamant that there’s a recipe for everyone in the book – he has even perfected a vegan recipe which will put supermarket-bought vegan snags to shame.
