Schools Chess Challenge Westfield Woden 2016

The Schools Chess Challenge at Westfield Woden is coming up on Sunday 13th March, 2016 and will attract a great number of chess players. The tournament last year brought in 15 secondary players and 55 primary players, with Canberra Grammar School claiming the title for both divisions.

The individual Swiss tournament comprises of 7-rounds, with a time control of 15 minutes per player per game. There are trophies for the top five individual players and the top three schools. School scores are obtained by adding the top 4 highest scoring players from each school.

Players must wear their school uniform on the day as a means of representing their school. The winning school in each division will receive $250 worth of equipment from Canberra Academy of Chess.
