Hi there. My name is Daniel Spellman, a 3rd year photography student at the ANU.
As part ouf our assessment this semester, we are exploring documentery photography. I have chosen to explore tattoos and body modification and the people behind them, in Canberra. If you have any or know of someone who does, please consider participating in the project! The best 10-20 photos will be sent to you via email or on a disc. You may also end up in a book published using blurb.com.

We will arrange a booking for the lighting studio at the ANU School of Art, in between Ellery Cres and Childers St. It’s near Civic. You can wear whatever you want.
I’d also love to have models also type a short statement about what their tattoos mean to them/why they got them – but this is optional. If you’d rather not write anything, I’d still be happy to shoot you.
