Skate in the city revived for summer

Canberra CBD Ltd announced an open air roller skating rink will be opened in Garema Place in the new year.

The rink will be open From 5 January, to 6 February in 2012.

The rink will feature roller discos, retro movie nights, and the seemingly obligatory roller derby.

The rink will be similar to the ice skating rink which was opened in Garema Place earlier this year.

More details to be announced.

I hope the roller rink will be bigger than the chunk of ice they refer to as the ice rink. You couldn’t swing a cat on that thing!
