Substantial Reward Offered for Missing Cat

By missmakw - 19 July 2011 41

Our 2 y/o chocolate burmese cat Sprinkles went missing from Lansdown Crescent in Casey on Sunday, 17th July 2011.

She has short light brown fur with darker brown face, ears, paws and tail. She is quite small and can be timid at first. It is likely that she is locked in someone’s garage or has wandered into someone’s house (we hope!). She belongs to our 4 y/o son James, who, along with us is heartbroken to lose such a dearly loved little fur kid! There is a possibiliy that she accidently hitched a ride in the back of an ‘Auswide’ removalists truck which was headed from to Macquarie…

A photo and full description of Sprinkles can be found via RSPCA link.

Sprinkles is desexed and microchipped. We are prepared to offer a substantial reward for information leading to her return. Please contact us if you can help! (0410 216 607 or 0400 893 986)

Thank you Canberra!

don’t give up – we suddenly had a cat appear at a family member’s place. Obviously wasn’t a stray as it was bolshy, friendly and desperate to come inside. Didn’t know whether he was lost or just lived 3 doors up the road and was just after takeaway food as well as his own – so he was fed. After a week we took him to a vet and checked if he had a microchip. He was registered and vets got the owner’s details and rang them. Apparently they sounded desperately happy he was alive. We left our details with the vet but the owner never even rang to say thanks. Oh well, – at least he was wanted. We were happy to tell them where he was found, that we’d looked after it and the like.

Sorry to hear that you have lost your cat, We lost ours about 3 weeks ago in Macquarie, Loki, a small 4 year old Blue Burmese (actual colour is Grey) with a blue collar, he was also desexed and microchipped.

I suppose you’ve done the bleeding obvious and contacted the removal company, drivers, and neighbours around the drop off point?

So good to see you are teaching James about responsible pet ownership. You do not treat a “dearly loved” creature like this. Unless of course you’d also let James roam the streets and offer a reward if he doesn’t come home…

He’ll likely turn up. Our cat once went missing for a week, but then turned up. I think it got locked in a partially built house.

I wonder if Captain RAAF lives in Casey?

No, I do not, however, on Saturday alone I caught two cats and one small dog in my trap. Sadly, the Weston Creek RSPCA was full……………

The cat above was not one of them.

Hope you find your cat. I’d be devestated if my two disappeared.

Oh no! Poor Max. I did notice him on the RSPCA website.
We had some hope this morning when a man found a burmese cat in his dogs kennel. Not our Sprinkles, though i did take this burmese as it was looking very skinny and disheveled. We are taking him/her to the RSPCA this afternoon, hopefully it is microchipped and will be reunited with a worried family today. Thoughts are with you and we will be on the look out for Max.
