Team Katy courts the baseball vote

By johnboy - 4 October 2012 6

We’re really getting down into the weeds of micro constituencies now:

If re-elected in 2012 ACT Labor will deliver $5 million to undertake major upgrades at Narrabundah Ball Park – the home of baseball in the ACT.

What’s Your opinion?

I’m just wondering where the pot of gold has come from….

Did the ALP find another spare $50 million stuffed in the breadbox?

Looks like her batting average is about 0.3 percent.

$5.5 million for a facility that is used for one sport that is played by about 0.3 percent of the population of the ACT, of which even fewer would probably actually use. Strike out..

It has to be a lot higher proportion than THAT. It’s almost as popular as fishing. Every second white Commodore in this beautiful city has a baseball bat in the boot.

Looks like she’s struck out on this one.

She probably expected it to be a home run, but I think it’s a little bit out of left field.

Swing and a miss, Katy.

Not really. I just wanted to get in on the puns.

They’re only ballpark figures.

Plus there’s no pavilion.
