Teenager arrested after robbing supermarket at knifepoint

Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy after he allegedly robbed a Mitchell supermarket at knifepoint on Friday morning (6 September).

Around 11:50 am, police were called following reports of a teenager threatening staff with a knife at a Mitchell supermarket. Police allege the teenager stole alcohol, threatened staff with a knife and was carrying a prohibited firearm.

Officers on patrol in a neighbouring suburb responded and the 15-year-old was arrested a short time later.

The boy faced the ACT Children’s Court on Saturday (7 September) charged with possessing an offensive weapon with intent and possessing a prohibited firearm.
