The Henchmen return to the Transit

I used to play with a band called The Henchmen who back in 2002 played their first gig at Toast and then went on to start a residency at the Aree Bar (now the transit) in which we built up quite a following performing with other Canberra bands such as the Pete and Fiete Band and the Hancock Basement. For three years we played a lot of gigs around Canberra and Melbourne until in 2005 the drummer moved to Melbourne, the guitarist to Sydney, the bass player to Jazz School, and me to a local post office where I slept inside an envelope.

All four members are coming back together and we’re playing at the Transit Bar on December the 8th. It’s a Saturday night. It’s free. And there will be three other interstate bands supporting us: Mirrormen (Melb), Caleb Garfinkel (Melb) and The Ripping Dylans (Sydney).

I’d include an mp3 or two of Henchmen songs on the riotact if someone could show me how. To anybody who used to come and see us come along and bring some friends. It’s gonna be a fun night.

Charrrs
Tom

Awesome! Haven’t seen The Henchmen since the Hancock Basement cd launch.
