Featured in this week’s RiotACT Gig Guide are the ever popular indie folk wonders; The Tipsy Scholars. They have recently released a new EP, “Nowhere To Be”, which you can find here. Check out the launch of The Tipsy Scholar’s “Nowhere To Be” at their Canberra leg of the tour, which will be on at the Polish White Eagle Club, playing alongside Lady Denman, Koscalla and J Howard, and starting from 8 pm.

Sebastian Field, of Cracked Actor fame, is putting on a brilliant-looking and -sounding Smith’s Varietal tonight, featuring eclectic, unusual sounds from local artists devdsp, Matthew Lustri and Joel Macbeth, as well as Marlene Radice from interstate. On Thursday, check out the launch of Brisbane punk band Tape/Off’s new album ”Broadcast Park,” playing with Agency and Dog Name at Transit Bar from 7 pm.

Saturday is looking huge! Over at The Phoenix, there is the Mini Festival, featuring an enormous amount of acts including Yoko Oh No, Flash Anthem, Black Heart, The Disappointments, and a whole lot more. At Transit Bar, Nerdlinger are back in town to launch their new album “Happy Place,” playing with Sketch Method and Adventure Sunday. Over at MOLO, Live indie-punk West Australians Sly Withers will be playing with Lefty and Babe Fiasco… and there is so much more, so I suggest checking out the links and details below!
