Fun Machine are back together again, this time to bring in the new year at Smith’s Alternative. Starting 9 pm on Monday and taking you all the way to 2019 with support act Betty Alto, Fun Machine are “built of dance-moves, skin and just a hint of rage” and “here for the New Years’ Eve you have been waiting for since circa 2015.”
In the lead up to New Year’s Eve, celebrate Kwanzaa with Reggae Rockas at Smith’s Alternative from 9 pm, or before then duck in and see Moochers Inc. from 2 pm.
Canberra has a stack of ways to see in the New Year, with events on at Civic Square with live bands such as Paces and Zackerbilks, an enormous show at The Basement featuring Johnny Roadkill, Wesley & The Crushers and others, while over at Mr Wolf check out Young Franco, AUDIOPAXX DJs, Clique and Brittany De Marco from 9 pm.
