This Friday and Saturday you will probably notice a lot of motorcyclists heading South to Thredbo. Cooma will packed with riders and their shiny loved one’s. All of Thredbo has been booked out for the 3,000 plus riders attending one of the biggest annual rides in Australia.
The Snowy Ride was started by the family of Steven Walter who was crazy about motorcycles. He lost his 8 year battle to cancer when he was only 19. One of his wishes was that no other kid would have to go through what he had. His wish and the hard work of his family has resulted in millions of dollars going directly to support childhood cancer research.
Even if you aren’t a rider I think you’ll enjoy seeing what goes on at the Snowy Ride. Here’s a video I did of last years ride where I decided to concentrate of photographing the ride given it was the tenth anniversary of the event.
