Theodore house fire

ACT Fire & Rescue has extinguished a fire in a house on Mackerras Crescent, Theodore.

Fire started in a bedroom and contained to the room.

Three fire pumpers on scene, two commanders and the Breathing Apparatus Van.

Crews are currently conducting air monitoring and ventilation operations and are utilising a thermal camera to ensure there are no hot spots in the roof of the house.

Two occupants of the house safely self evacuated. ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics are also on scene and supporting operations with no injuries reported.

Time of Emergency Triple Zero (000) call 11.15am.

11:45 AM

Fire crews are continuing with air monitoring operations.

The five bedroom house has received smoke and fire damage.

Two rooms in the house have been significantly damaged.

Fire also entered the roof of the house.

ACT Fire & Rescue are about to depart the scene.

Cause of fire deemed accidental.

Estimated damage $250,000.
