Why shouldn’t family living make you feel like you’re on holiday every day of the year?

That’s the question that is both asked and answered by 33 Glenelg Street in Kaleen, a five-bedroom, two-bathroom, four-car residence that celebrates the little luxuries that make life special.

Independent Property Group agent Paul Corazza says it’s rare to find a home as well designed and renovated as this one that’s still on one level.

“It’s possible to split the home into separate wings, so if grandparents or carers needed or wanted to move in, it wouldn’t be an issue,” he explained.

The ginormous garage that fits four cars comfortably and a driveway that also allows for off-street parking makes that kind of living arrangement logistically possible, Paul says.

Entertaining family and friends throughout the warmer months is simply a breeze with a back garden as special as this one but, of course, you simply cannot forget the stunning resort-style pool.

“This is a beautiful feature as it’s not your standard rectangular pool, but rather a billabong style,” Paul said.

The spacious back garden also includes a large deck and covered pergola as well as plenty of lawn where kids and pets can run and play to their hearts’ content.

Of course, you can’t only live outdoors, nice as that may be, and this home provides internally as well.

The home has been recently and tastefully updated with a newly painted roof, new carpets, a fresh coat of paint and the clever addition of new lighting giving it a modern touch.

Paul describes the floor plan as functional as it provides multiple living areas that allow the whole family and guests to come together, or to let everyone spread out and do their own thing.

To the front of the house, there’s a large lounge room for movie nights, popcorn on the couch and relaxing in warmth and comfort. Then, a light sunroom allows you the flexibility of a secondary living room, rumpus room or even a home office.

When it comes to indoor entertaining, the same room is also highly adaptable with a fireplace, timber flooring and bi-fold doors opening directly onto the back deck.

According to Paul, this is a simply stunning room that can be used all year round.

“It has windows on all four sides which means it’s always light and warm,” he said.

A well-connected formal dining room provides you with even more space for entertaining, or just for simple, cosy family dinners of an evening.

The heart of the home – the large kitchen – is also extremely functional and cleverly connected to both the open plan family and meals areas, meaning one eye can always be on the kids doing their homework at the table or bench.

The island bench top also provides that easy additional bench space for meal preparation as well as grabbing quick meals on the go.

Day-to-day living is made even easier by the stainless steel appliances and ample pantry space.

Paul explained that it is really a home where comfort has been emphasised throughout – and nowhere is this more evident than the bedrooms.

The main bedroom is at the rear of the home – a spacious, quiet setting for rest and relaxation. With an ensuite, walk-in-wardrobe and additional access to the back garden, it’s very much a retreat.

The other four bedrooms are also generously sized with built-in-robes and easy access to a functional main bathroom.

For Paul, this home’s functionality also extends to its location – just minutes from Kaleen Plaza, shops, schools and playing fields. Both the town centres of Gungahlin and Belconnen are only a short drive away as well.

“Kaleen has always been a popular suburb, and I think this property is likely to be pretty popular, too,” Paul added.
