Three teenage boys have been arrested following investigations into a house burglary and subsequent vehicle thefts.
A Dunlop home was broken into in the early hours of Sunday morning (18 December), with a handbag and car keys stolen.
Soon after, a Jeep Cherokee and Audi Q5 were taken from the residence.
Police were called and began investigating, with the Cherokee discovered at another Dunlop location.
It was discovered credit cards that had been stolen earlier that morning were used at nearby convenience stores.
CCTV was reviewed and officers identified three persons of interest.
Police found the stolen Audi in Charnwood at about 2:30 am and soon after arrested two 15-year-old boys and a 13-year-old boy.
The 13-year-old was charged with aggravated burglary, two counts of obtaining property by deception, possession of stolen property and driving a motor vehicle without consent.
He was granted bail yesterday (19 December) from the ACT Children’s Court and will re-appear in January.
Investigations are continuing and further charges are expected to be laid against the other two teens.
