Too much Pink

Pommy bastard 17 March 2009 92

I see the renowned singing and dancing  person, Pink, will be playing Canberra in August. I was thinking of getting my kids tickets, but at $180 for the cheap seats, I think Mz Pink can go without the pleasure of their company.

Sorry mate, just trying to illustrate the fact that if he does choose to take his kids it’s something that they will remember and probably appreciate. I don’t know if the ticket price is worth that to him but it’s relevant and something to consider.

And I am no fogey!

Now excuse me while I chase those damn kids off my front lawn.

That’s funny! To my shame that’s the first gig I ever went to when I was about 11 or so with my mum and dad. I hate to admit it but as an 11 year old who had never been to a live concert before I did think it was pretty cool.

I just wish I had’ve had cooler parents who would have taken me to see something with a bit more ‘cred’ attached to it so I could brag to my peerss.

My favourtie childhood memory was when I was allowed to go to see the mighty Metallica without my parents but it will never be my first concert…

*sigh*

Sorry Pommy, NOTHING can redeem that.

No problem Pommy! 🙂 I think presales are on sale now (a random selection of seats from all over the arena) with the rest of the tix on sale Friday morning.

The ONLY redeeming value of that clip is CD looks a complete pillock when she “dances”.

Looks like the light bulb was bust in Anastacia’s changing room.

Oh, and I just checked the Ticketek site and they have added a second show in Canberra and tickets are $139.90 each (for both concerts)

Thanks for that, at $140 I may, just may, consider getting them tickets after all.

Cool, thanks…& nothing could be as bad as Celine Dion singing AC/DC, nothing.

Ca-ching!

Mr Evil, I think Benny Hill was big on fur so he certainly would’t endorse PETA.

Justbands, Pink also has a song called ‘Sober’, still I’m sure if she attempted it there’s no way it could be as bad a Celine Dion’s version of ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’.

They play her music in hell you know.

“Canberra wasn’t initially in the tour plan though was it?”

Canberra was always in the tour plan. Once enough interest had been generated and the joint sold out of course she would be available. If it wasn’t in the tour plan there would have been no gaps to accommodate it. The only reason she would stay when not performing is to either perform more or get a nice free Nth. Qld holiday

Mr Evil, the RiotACT’s answer to Benny Hill.

Awesome, that’s just what I was aiming for!

I wonder if Benny Hill ever spouted diatribe from groups like PETA without looking into the facts for himself?

> Pink performing Sober at the American Music Awards

(sorry, I can’t see YouTube from work)

Sober…as in the TOOL song Sober?? Actually, TOOL tickets cost me around $130 last time around now that I think about it…still cheaper than Pink.

I’m positive she can sing…but she’s still singing middle-of-the-road dime-a-dozen pop.

Roma Roma 12:47 pm 18 Mar 09

*sigh*
this is an argument that could be had about any band or musician because its all completely subjective and down to individuals tastes.
The fact remains that ticket prices in general are sky-high (I havent been to a concert in the last three years that has cost me less than $99 for a ticket, and many have cost 20 or 30 dollars more than that) and only presale tickets and seats sold by premium seating suppliers such as preferredseating.com.au) are asking stupid amounts for the Funhouse tour.

But for those who think that ‘puts on one hell of a show’ means alot of lights and costumes but awful music / singing please take a few minutes out to view:
