The Truffle Festival is letting us know about this year’s events:
This year Sherry is joining with the Fyshwick Markets to celebrate the Canberra & Capital Region Truffle Festival. Along with providing exclusive supply to the markets, Sherry is also running truffle hunts every Saturday until 17 August. And for the ultimate truffle experience the hunts can be combined with a truffle cooking class at the renowned, Fyshwick-based, 3Seeds cooking school.
The feature truffle event at Fyshwick Markets will be held on Sunday 23 June, from 10am-3pm, a Truffle Market Day. With a great line up of activities including truffle cooking demonstrations with celebrity chef Jared Ingersoll, live music, local producer pop-up stalls, local wine tastings, truffle popcorn, face painting and craft activities for kids, the Truffle Long Lunch at 3Seeds. A great range of truffle products will also be available throughout the markets, try truffle pizza at Deli Planet or truffled eggs for breakfast at Bean & Grain and keep an eye out for other truffle products like truffle butter from Wiffens, sausages from the Fyshwick Gourmet Organic and truffle fish from Ocean Fresh.
“We want to create an amazing atmosphere at the markets and celebrate our unique supply of French Black Truffles – we’ve put together a fun day of activities, local producers and all things truffle for people to enjoy,” explained Catherine Haskins of 3Seeds.
Then every weekend in July the truffle theme will continue with the Fyshwick Markets presenting cooking demonstrations, truffle hunts & truffle master classes, local wine tastings, live music, activities for the kids in the school holidays, truffle products and of course French Black Truffles available until mid-August.
