Two women to face court for aggravated robberies

An 18-year-old and a 37-year-old woman will face court today charged with a range of offences including aggravated robberies of supermarkets in Dickson and Braddon.

It is alleged that the pair robbed a Dickson supermarket last Tuesday (23 July 2019), attempted an aggravated robbery of John James Hospital on 20 May 2019 and an aggravated robbery of a Braddon supermarket that same day.

ACT Policing members executed a search warrant at an address in Queanbeyan yesterday arresting the 18-year-old woman. She has been remanded in custody in NSW. ACT Policing members will attend Queanbeyan Local Court today where an application will be made for her extradition to face court in the ACT.

The 37-year-old woman was arrested at a residence in Stirling yesterday.

The women will face the ACT Magistrates Court today charged with attempt aggravated robbery and aggravated robbery. Police will oppose bail.
