I’m looking for a trivia night around the end of the financial year (preferably for a worthy cause).

We have approx 40-50 people interested in going.

I don’t know much about the trivia night scene in Canberra (or anywhere for that matter).

Just thought it would be a decent social night for our company (it’s that or bowling).

HELP!

Sorry Roadrage77, the RUC is no longer holding the trivia night. I should know, I went there for four years. One night that was pretty good was the Mark Parton run night at O’Nei;’s on a Sunday. He did his own questions, and most of them ended up in the $1000 Minute on Mix during the week.

Miles Franklin Primary School is having their trivia nite on the last weekend of this month.

that search bar up there is your friend 😉

there was a post on here bout a month ago asking about trivia nights…. I’m sure someone not as lazy as me could post the link.

If you can’t find one to join onto, you could always get someone experienced to run a quiz tailored specifically for your group. (*Bats eyelids*).

I’ve been to most of the trivia nights happening about the place and to be frank they all pretty much suck with the exception being the RUC (Rugby Union Club Barton) trivia. The host Richard Hume is a charismatic and witty bloke who puts a lot of time into his questions and generally makes it a great night. There are prizes for winning or placing in the regular quiz, as well as a weekly jackpot which I’ve seen as high a s a couple of K. The only gripe I have with the RUC trivia is that it has been moved from a Wednesday to a Monday night timeslot. Not even hardcore alcoholics like myself particularly like drinking on a Monday. The food is pretty decent and varied but not cheap by club standards.

Not sure if this is the kind of help you were asking for. If you’re looking for a one-off special event type thingy then I’ve probably just wasted 60 seconds of your life.
