We Was Robbed! – Raiders go down to Cowboys

By Ntp 24 June 2007 3

Well it seems everybody has a story about the Raiders 24-28 loss last night. Be it the Cowboy’s knock-on try, North Queensland prop Ray Cashmere’s acting skills, their having 14 men on field, the two denied Raider’s tries or Todd Carney’s KO in the pre-match Premier league game.

There is talk of the Cowbays being striped of the two compertition points for the win but no chance that the Riaders will pick these up.

The Cannons were just a fad during the 80s. I went and saw a number of their games but then came to the realisation that I actually hated basketball and was only going along because of the chicks that were in the group I was in.

Actually, I think we all came to the realisation that we hated basketball and thus headed for such salubrious places as Beggars, Leather Bottle, etc etc etc…

Anyway, this raiders side has the core of a very good side in years to come. Lets hope they keep their players rather than the usual practice of letting them go.

Neil henry is also showing himself to be quite an astute coach. Must be the West Belco boy in him.

maybe its the 6 pack talking, but get behind your team people. I’m sick of canberra being a winners city, and getting behind any team going well (remember the canons people?) and then ditching your team as soon as they loose a game. Lets get behind the dirty greens as they power on to the finals!!

Yes, we wuz robbed.

The bowen try came from an offside, and the cashmere hit was nothing, you could almost see the trainer telling him to milk it. The Raiders would actually be looking pretty good right now on the ladder if the refs showed a bit of consistency. 2 games in a row which could have been won by the Raiders if not for such poor refereeing. Somebody must be getting paid..
