ACT Policing has arrested a 25-year-old Gordon man for a burglary at the Wig and Pen Tavern and Brewery in Civic last month.
Police will allege between 1.30am and 10am on Sunday 29 July, the man entered the licensed premises on Alinga Street and stole a safe, containing cash and a set of master keys.
On Thursday (August 9), Criminal Investigations detectives executed a search warrant at the man’s house and seized a set of master keys to the licensed premises, a mobile phone and a sum of cash.
The man was arrested at his house yesterday morning (Sunday, August 12) and was taken to the ACT Watch House, where he was charged with burglary and theft.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning, where bail will be opposed by police.
