Woman charged with arson after Bonython house fire

A woman has been charged with arson after a mother and two children were saved from a Bonython house fire on Sunday (21 July).

Just before 6:30 am, ACT Fire & Rescue and police attended a house fire on Bardolph Street, Bonython. A mother and two children were taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The fire was deemed suspicious and ACT Policing began their investigation.

A 47-year-old woman was extradited from New South Wales to the ACT on Tuesday (23 July 2019) and will face the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with arson. Police will oppose bail.
